Our recent Capitol Trail Campout  was enjoyed by those who attended.  Thanks to Troop 18 for their help in setting up our tents, and for the great hiking trail they set up.

Comments from Attendees

I had the privilege of serving as SPL, (Senior Patrol Leader) and got to be in charge of some great guys- they never complained once on the 21-mile hike.  One challenge was when we were hiking the levy- we had to pull off thistles, which yet again reminded me of the great sacrifice that Christ made for us on the cross.

I thought that the hike was long, but the tour of the capital was rewarding.

God has a sense of humor for making misquitos and those thorny weed things.  I liked the hike.

I have some weak knees and I was concerned that I might not make the entire 20 miles, but I did and I'm glad I did.

I loved the hike but thought we should've brought a lawn mower.

I enjoyed the campout because we did a lot of hiking and not a lot of cooking.
